Our shortest break starts and ends in Prague, a popular destination nowadays. The hotel we stay in is not far from the airport. You will spend four full days in the field looking for owls and woodpeckers. Hundreds of ponds with water birds and small medieval towns are found in the area while the Sumava mountains are covered with deep forests and peat-bogs. It is the Czech stronghold of Hazel and Black Grouse - Capercaillie as well. Tengmalm´s, Pygmy, Ural and Eagle Owl are all likely to be seen too.
