Introduction:

Known as the country of castles and mansions, the Czech Republic is a land of beautiful rivers and lakes, legendary mineral waters and spas, enchanting forests and amazing rock formations. It boasts many world-famous architectural and historical sites scattered throughout the length and breadth of the country; one would not be definitely able to see all of them in a year, let alone a week. However, this tour includes the absolutely essential points of interest: Southern Moravia and Southern Bohemia are generally considered the most picturesque parts of the whole country.
During the course of the tour, we shall pass through 5 of 11 Czech towns or cities that are included in the UNESCO world cultural heritage list. Moreover, we will have a chance to appreciate the irresistible charm of the local landscape, rolling hills, deep verdant forests, wide open fields and amazing lakes with surfaces as smooth as glass. The intention was to include as much of the variety of the Czech Republic as possible so as to make the resulting impression complete.
The day trips are not highly demanding, in order to ensure that they are accessible to anybody. They are usually about 50 - 60 km long, most of the time level and always with an incredible backdrop of scenery. Concerning the roads, the main criterion was not only that it should be spectacular, but we also paid special attention to safety. We decided exclusively in favor of third- or second-class roads with not much traffic.
All together, the trip is a wonderful experience, providing much useful information about the country, inhabitants, and cultural heritage.
