Central Europe is a fascinating place with great history and culture, lovely little medieval towns, picturesque landscape, hospitable people and above all, great tourist potential! On this tour, we see the best of three old European countries: the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland; including four prominent UNESCO sites boasting riches of cultural heritage and well-preserved architectural monuments: Prague, Litomysl, Olomouc and Krakow.
There are, however, many more very interesting and admirable places in this region which have not been discovered by crowds of tourists yet. And it is the variety that makes this particular tour really special. There is a lot to choose from and, thus, we decided to show you a bit of everything to make the picture of this wonderful area complete.Besides the two jewels among cities, Prague and Krakow, we will indulge in the captivating beauty of rock formations and deep gorges in Prachov, climb to the ruins of the impressive Trosky Castle proudly perched atop a volcanic monolith, inspect ingenious historical military structures in Dobrosov, admire the skill and genius of Matyas Braun transformed into a unique set of statues in Kuks, take a guided tour in a world-renowned Renaissance palace in Litomysl, admire a set of public fountains and a huge Trinity Column in Olomouc, learn about the religious history at the Church of Visitation on the Holy Hill nearby, wander among ancient picturesque houses with thatched roofs in the open-air-museum in Roznov, enjoy the grandeur and ease of Slovakian mountain scenery and last but not least, recollect an infamous part of the European history in Auschwitz. Moreover, these points of interest are interconnected by carefully planned walks through stunning undulating landscape rich in floral and animal species.
